Tanya Cavanagh

Tanya Cavanagh has been involved in the music industry since the day she could walk, talk and hit pots and pans.

As a singing drummer, Tanya has toured nationally and internationally in a range of diverse acts. Her skills have seen her playing a full drumkit, suspended upside-down, 50 feet in the air as a musician/performer in Circus Oz and working extensively in Bachelor Girl, with Spencer P Jones and in David Jones Drum!.

She has played support shows with artists including Joan Jett, The Divinyls, the Tea Party, soul-pioneer Wilson Pickett and The Cruel Sea. Right now, she is powering up the stage with high-energy rock bands Freya and The Vikings and Frequency.

Tanya shares this wealth of expertise with the musicians she teaches and mentors across all contemporary genres, including Rock, Pop, Soul, Jazz, Funk and Hip Hop. This gal’s got rhythm!
