Sebastian Garcia

Sebastian Garcia (Sebastiside) is a guitar player born in Bogota, Colombia. He attended Sergio Arboleda University for his music degree focused on composition and performance. At the age of 23, he moved to Australia to finish his music studies in Melbourne.

He is primarily recognised for his Instagram and YouTube videos in which he writes music combining elements of progressive metal and academic music. He is particularly well known for adapting a Spanish guitar technique called ‘Rasgueado‘ to electric guitar. “Hybrid Rasgueado” (Rasgueado with fingers and guitar pick) and his melodic riffs on the instrument.

Today, he works full-time as an artist. He is endorsed by Legator Guitars and has released multiple songs as well as more than 600 videos on social media. He also regularly collaborates with brands like Boss, Neural DSP, Submission Audio, and Guitar Pro. After his EP ‘Reincarnate‘ was released, he started focusing on longer-format music and collaborating with other musicians and creators from the same scene.
