Electronic music producer Beatrice is one of the most exciting multifaceted artists in the current Australian music landscape. She is a songwriter, performer and producer of one of Australia’s most electrifying dance acts, Haiku Hands; a songwriter and producer for award- winning indigenous band Kardajala Kirridarra, and is enjoying a flourishing career as a solo artist.

 

Beatrice recently composed the music for Ableton 12’s global release campaign announcement, she also created an Ableton Made in Live breakdown video of her latest release “A New Lake”. Her most recent release is on an Insomniac compilation of selected female producers from around the world.

 

She is an alumnus of the Red Bull Music Academy, won the 2019 APRA’s Personal Development award in the Dance/Electronic category, has performed at major electronic music festivals from Pitch to MONA FOMA, and was named one of Beat Magazine’s “Melbourne producers that owned 2017”.

 

As a songwriter, singer and producer of innovative pop art band Haiku Hands, Beatrice has amassed millions of streams and impressed audiences and critics worldwide. Haiku Hands have toured Europe extensively, had sold-out headline Australian tours, a break-out performance at SXSW and a run of US dates. Having
bagged a coveted spot on the NME 100, Haiku Hands has been tipped as one of the most exciting new bands in music by the likes of Vogue, Clash, DIY, Dork, BBC Radio 1 and Beats 1.

 

As a solo artist, Beatrice has collaborated with pioneering electronic artists including Suzanne Ciani, Theo Parrish and Just Blaze and has supported genre heavyweights including Jon Hopkins, Vegyn, Mark Pritchard, Eprom, Lapalux and Willaris.K.

 

For the past eight years, Beatrice has been a composer, workshop facilitator and strong advocate for indigenous women’s music throughout Australia. She is a member of the critically acclaimed band Kardajala Kirridarra which blends contemporary electronic music with traditional indigenous themes. Kardajala Kirridarra won MusicNT’s 2017 Folk Song of the Year, and earned ‘album of the week’ at 9 radio stations including Double J, RRR and FBi.

Rock Academy Australia

Rock Academy is a school holiday music initiative for teenagers established in 2015. Currently staged in Melbourne, now broadened to include a Masters initiative for the more mature player twice a year. Rock Academy features established artists mentoring teenage musicians as they rehearse a cover song and write an original song to perform on a real rock stage.
