Rock Academy Masters 

After an awesome show on June 1st at The Tote, we’ll be back next April to do it all again

Rock Academy Masters is a band rehearsal and live performance opportunity for the more mature player.

This is for the selfless folk who always had a passion for music and may have played in bands in a previous life yet work, kids and responsibilities meant forgoing your love of music for the time-being. It’s time to give back to you.. you know you deserve it. Unleash the rock god/goddess within!

Over a 5 week period, you’ll meet new players, play in a couple of bands, write original music, learn and rehearsal some of your favourite songs. You’ll prepare for a live show under the guidance and mentorship of the irrepressible Phil Ceberano and pro musicians.

The Live show will be captured live by pro photographers, audio engineers and filmmakers.

Tune up, plug in, let’s rock.

The lowdown

We’ll be back in April 2026 for Rock Academy Masters 03, a band jam and performance opportunity for the more mature player.

After our first session at Bakehouse we’ll head back to Wick Studios for rehearsals, which is far better suited to our needs for the Masters. Other changes will be each band member will play in two seperate bands, making sure you get to hang and play with as many people as possible.

Over a 5 week period, you’ll meet new players, form bands, write original music, learn some covers and prepare for a video and audio recording session and then play a live show, all under the guidance and mentoring of the irrepressible Phil Ceberano and some of the country’s leading players. It’s going to be wild!

• Tuesday, April 21st, 6.30-10.30pm – Introductions & Songwriting – Bakehouse Studios, Richmond
• Tuesday, April 28th, 6.30-11pm – Band rehearsals and mentoring at The Wick Studios, Brunswick
• Tuesday, May 5th, 6.30-11pm – Band rehearsals and mentoring at The Wick Studios, Brunswick
• Tuesday, May 12th, 6.30-11pm – Band rehearsals and mentoring at The Wick Studios, Brunswick
• Tuesday, May 19th, 6.30-11pm – Band rehearsals and mentoring at The Wick Studios, Brunswick
• Sunday, May 24th,  5.30pm – The Live Show – venue, tba

Pricing: $775.00 (incl. GST), fees can be paid in two instalments – deposit and balance.
