Rock Academy Peninsula Scholarships – Apply

Rock Academy – Supported Places for Young Musicians

Are you (or your child) a young musician ready to take the next step but facing barriers to participation?

Mornington Peninsula Shire, in partnership with Rock Academy and Make Music Matter, is offering a limited number of supported places to ensure all young artists have the chance to be part of this incredible program.

Rock Academy is an immersive experience for passionate musicians aged 12–19, providing the opportunity to write, rehearse, collaborate, and perform live under the guidance of experienced mentors and industry professionals.
It’s all about growth, creativity, and the energy of live performance.

These supported places are designed to help young people who might not otherwise be able to attend, ensuring financial barriers don’t stand in the way of the next generation of musicians.

How to Apply

Parents, guardians, or young musicians can submit an Expression of Interest below.

Tell us about the applicant’s musical journey and why this opportunity would be valuable.

Let’s Make Music Matter—apply now!

Rock Academy is not an elite music program, we are open and welcoming of everyone, regardless of their skill level and hence the scholarships are based on the individual family circumstance, not on the individual ability of the Young Lion.

Please give us some perspective of your current situation and basic information about the Young Lion – age, the instrument played, years experience.

Fees for Rock Academy are currently $645.00 and we will be offering a range of scholarships of 30%, 50% and full fee.

Our Supporters

We acknowledge that our events are staged on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung, peoples of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their land and waters, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and emerging.
