Dean Tellefson

Deano has been playing guitar for as long as he can remember, and has spent the last 10 years teaching young kids all he knows in his spare time. He has toured Australia, and written, played and recorded guitar for many inspiring bands including Next Man Dead, Joel Spence, Green Green Green, Dada Ono, and Phil Wolfendale.

Finishing a Bachelor of Music Performance and Advanced Diploma of Audio Engineering in 2011, Deano wanted to do something to improve the local music community.

Wrangler’s story begins in December of 2012 when it was a blank, four-walled warehouse space hidden within the industrial scape of West Footscray. Six years on, Wrangler Studios has grown into one of the busiest all-ages live music venues and creative spaces in Victoria.

Wrangler Studios offers a safe, inclusive, and diverse environment for musicians, visual artists, photographers, and production professionals in Victoria’s creative sphere. Deans core belief is that every individual should have their freedom of expression, and through Wrangler we are committed to providing these avenues to young creatives from whatever walk of life.

Moving forward to 2019, Dean is collaborating with SAE Institute, and heading up a Mentoring Program partnering experienced Sound Engineers, Videographers and Photographers with young, aspiring students, giving everyone the opportunity to be involved in the music industry, one way or another.
