Laura Davidson

Laura Davidson has had a rather eclectic career in music for the past 20 years.

Coming from a tiny country town with limited options on the mid-north coast of NSW, it was never thought of as an option to have a professional career in music despite her love of music… but she escaped to Melbourne the day after finishing school and after a housemate heard her singing in the shower she was soon convinced to go have some singing lessons to see what would happen.

Laura soon overcame her shyness and got into the first band she auditioned for and over the 20 years has developed a well-respected reputation for rocking out and bringing a certain energy to each live performance.

Laura has toured the world with tribute shows such as Bjôrn Again, playing Frida Longstokin, The Spicy Girls as Sporty Spice and in AC/DSHE as the leading lady Bonnie Scott. She has a great love for Jazz, pop and all things rock and has been likened to the late great Shirly Strachan after performing two sets of Skyhooks music with original members (2011 – 2015).

Other notable guest appearances include ABC2’s Dirty Laundry with Lawrence Mooney, SBS Eurovision Doco 2017, Studio 10, ABC Sunrise (South Africa), Boogie Festival, Cherry Bar (AC/DC Lane).
